POCO X2 unboxing and User Review | GDrive image sample

Camera: Best under 20K without a doubt. It has a 64 MP Sony sensor which you won't get in phones under 30K. The other phones like Redmi, Realme, etc, have Samsung sensor and Sony's sensor is slightly better.

PUBG Performance: I'm an Ace K/D 5-6 PUBG player. This phone simply is a pubg beast. Reasons: It has default smooth ultra option. BUT, you can extend it to smooth extreme using gfx tools. Now let me tell you about what smooth ultra and smooth extreme actually give in the phone. With smooth ultra, you get CONSTANT 39-40 fps even with 3-4 squads around, even at landing during hotdrops. It never drops. EVEN WITH SCREEN RECORDING ON! Yes, this phone has an inbuilt "Game Turbo" app which shows you the fps during the game. And even with screen recording on, smooth ultra NEVER freezes (no "chipak rha hai" issue.). Now coming to Smooth Extreme. Use gfx tools to make it to 60fps. Now here comes the good part. After using gfx tools, this phone NEVER goes below 58 fps IN ANY CONDITION. NEVER. Comparing this to Samsung S20 or Redmi note 8 pro which provide Smooth Extreme by default, but often drop to 40-45 fps in the game, this phone's GPU NEVER drops below 58 fps in any condition. Redmi note 8 pro drops to 45-50 fps A LOT, even with smooth extreme being available by default. Same with Realm 6 and realme 6 pro. They freeze a lot. But not this one.

Display: This has IPS display but is the best one under 20k. It will be the brightest phone under the sun. It's brighter than Redmi note 9 pro, Realme 6, 6 pro, etc. Because these phones have 400-450 nits display even when some of these are AMOLED. But, Poco X2 phone has 500nits display. People don't concentrate on this feature but this is the reason it's the brightest display under 20K even after being IPS. Plus, it has the biggest screen (6.67') under 20K. Also, Poco X2 is the only phone to support HDR 10 under 20K. Realme 6 pro and Redmi note 9 pro don't support HDR 10 even though all 3 have IPS displays.

Battery: It charges from 0 to 100 in 70 minutes. This is a bit (10 minutes) behind Realme phones but it shouldn't matter. Battery is also long enough. One 30min PUBG game takes 10% approx. So you can play PUBG for more than 4 hours straight. And still there'll be some battery left. Then it recharges back up to 40% in 20 minutes.

Features: 120hz display is really smooth. You'll feel it. This will definitely change your phone experience and you definitely won't like working on 60Hz after this. It has Hi-fi sound support which no other phone (Redmi or Realme) under this category has. Fingerprint sensor is great. It's MIUI 11 has a built in screen recorder, built in night mode, built in FPS detector, Game Turbo app allows you to chat on WhatsApp or browse web through a small pop up screen WHILE playing games like PUBG. Then Android 10 out of the box, ABSOLUTELY AMAZING touch response, great Gyroscope unlike some other phones in this range, and a cool looking camera patch. No notch like Poco F1.

There is some heating, but use a back cover and it shouldn't bother much. It's liquid cooling technology is NOT to prevent heating. But to quickly dissipate the heat and cool it down once it heats up. So that's good. Again only Poco X2 supports liquid cooling under this range.

Overall, it's a great deal under 20K. I think if you're thinking to buy a gaming phone, go for it. Other phones might provide Smooth Extreme out of the box, but they freeze a lot. SD 730G is always more reliable and optimized than other brands.
