How to set shutdown timer on windows computer

Scheduling auto shutdown is extremely useful if you leave your computer to do something during the night, or if you have to leave your computer running for a few hours.

With the help of windows task scheduler we can turn off the computer at a specified time automatically.

• Go to start menu, search for Task Scheduler and click on it.

• Now click Create Basic Task.

• Enter a name for your task, for example Shutdown.

• Now choose When do you want the task to start. For this case we need to select one time.

• Now set the time and date when the task will be executed.

• Next choose Start a program.

• Click browse and select a program called shutdown. Then click Open.

• In Add arguments field write -s, and then click Next.

• Now you should see the task summary. Check it, and if you’re happy with your settings click Finish to schedule a shutdown.

-------------------------How to delete scheduled task--------------------

- Open task scheduler

- Click on Task Scheduler Library (Top left corner)

- Find your desired task name from the name column

- Right click over it, now make it disable or delete it.

Turn your Android or iOS device into a secondary monitor with touch screen

Friends, there are may paid apps and softwares which will allow you use your Android or iOS smart devices as a secondary display. But the software I am going to use is free of cost. If you are a multitasker than having a second display is of great advantage. Plus using your tablet phone as a computer screen will allow you to control the PC with it's touch screen. So, if you don't have a touch screen monitor, this way you would be able to convert your iPhone or Android devices into a touch screen monitor.

This software is only Available for Windows computer. It supports Windows 10, 8.1, 8 and 7. But you can use Android, Apple or windows tablets or phones as a secondary display.

Let’s do this:

Step 1: Install Spacedesk on your windows PC    SpaceDesk Website 

It is free for personal use. Read the T&C if you wish. 

It is the software that lets you turn any smart pone device into a second display for your Windows desktop. It works over wifi and usb. So, if you like you would be able to use it wirlessly too. Before downloading check your operating system type, 32 bit or 64 bit. Most modern PCs are 64 bit. Still check your Operating system version before downloading. You can check it by right clicking over my computer, then properties. 

Now download Spacedesk and install it in your pc. After installation restart your computer. Restart is must. There won’t be any desktop icon. You will find Spacedesk running in your taskbar.

Setp 2: Now you have to install spacedesk in your phone/tablet

You can connect via WiFi and with USB cable. If you are using wifi make sure both the devices are connected to the same wifi network. For using with USB enable usb tethering in your mboile (INTERNET connection is not necessary).

Now open the app in your android or iphone, click on the computers IP, you will get an extended display in your mobile or tablet.
