Solution to selfie stick not detected by camera

Your selfie stick is not detected by your phone! You probably face this problem if you buy a selfie stick with 3.5 mm jack. This selfie sticks are relatively cheap and easy to use, because they don't have any fancy gear with them. But most of the built in camera apps in the smart phones can't detect the selfie stick. So how can we make our selfie stick recognized by our device.


First we need to download an app for this. This app is available in playstore and popular too. You can buy pro version, but free version will do what we want. So go to google play and search for SelfieShopCamera app. Download the app and install it. Now we need to configure some settings to make our selfie stick detected by the mobile. After this configuration just restart your phone and most of the camera apps like retrica, instagram, candycam etc. will recognize the selfie stick. Lets see how to configure SelfieShopCamera.



-First open SelfieShopCamera app. Then go to settings > Monopod Connection Wizard



-Select Monopod with cable and go next



-Connect your Selfie Stick to your phone with cable and press the selfie button on the monopod

-New button detected message will appear on your screen and you can choose camera action for this button from the drop-down menu. By default it is -Capture (with Current Camera).



-Select Remember Button and this button action will be saved in phone memory.

-Now you can press your volume buttons to configure them as capture button too.

-Click next and then save this configuration. Restart your phone and you are all set to use your selfie stick with any cam app. Have fun.
